Where no meals are advertised, there is a restaurant /shop. On request, your tour guide will order a packed lunch (not included) at the respective lodges.

Detailed tour description:

This safari is recommended when visiting Namibia for the first time. First we drive into the Namib and the high dunes at Sossusvlei show you how varied may be the desert. From Swakopmund we drive via the Spitzkoppe (Mountain) in the north. In Damaraland you will see the mesas and the world famous petroglyphs. In addition, with your visit you support a private cheetah project.

They travel to both the closed to the public the western part of the wildlife-rich Etosha National Park, as well as the central Etosha regions. At the end of this safari we can take game drives or nice, easy hikes at the Water mountain National Park.

This safari will show you the most beautiful highlights in central Namibia. Accommodations are varied. So you have a wide range of different accommodation and therefore get a wonderful impression of what our country has to offer.

Detailed Description of the route:

Day 1: Until noon pick up from Windhoek airport. In earlier arrival by Air Namibia we stop on the way to Windhoek only on a game farm for brunch. On these site large herds of springbok, wildebeest, Blesbuks and ostriches are seen. Upon arrival in the morning with other airlines, we go straight on to Windhoek. In the afternoon we get the capital to know better. In the evening we stop at a quaint, Namibian Steakhouse. Then we fall into the nice house in the springs. F (P) (50 km)

Day 2: In the morning you will learn typical farmland in the hilly know Khomas Highland. Then it goes down Spreetshoogte Pass, which is pretty steep, but offers from the top edge of a fantastic view of the lowlands. There is also the option to hike the pass road. From there it is only a few kilometres to a tented camp at the foot of Spreetshoogte pass. It is a beautiful spot in the middle of the steppe landscape and so offers a walk. We stay in the big house tents with beds & en-suite bathroom. F / M / A (T) (220 km)

Day 3: After breakfast we drive along the Naukluft Mountains. The impressive landscape of the Naukluft is a delight for any nature lover. Wind and sun, heat and cold, drought and rain have created here a fantastic rocky landscape, occur in the kudu, mountain zebra, Klipspringer, baboons and leopards. Here we can take a one-hour hike to the uniquely beautiful pools at Waterkloof. Soon we reached our wilderness accommodation, which will accommodate us for the next two nights. F / M (L) (220 km)

Day 4: Early in the morning we make our way to Sossusvlei. Pending receipt of the Namib Naukluft Park, we have to drive about 40 miles and from there another 60 km through the dunes, with the last 10 km is an absolute all-wheel route. The light and shade is unique. After returning from Sossusvlei we take a one-hour hike through the Sesriem Canyon. F (L) (220 km)

Day 5: On our today's stage we reach already in the morning the rustic Desert Solitaire petrol station, where we taste the good apple pie. After crossing the Kuiseb we drive through the Namib Desert and learn about the different types of landscape in the Namib, of which the lunar landscape is certainly one of the most bizarre. Here we also encounter the rare Welwitschia plant. In the late afternoon we reach the colonial town of Swakopmund and stay in a hospitable board. F / M (P) (320 miles)

Day 6: A day off ...! Who would like to be active, you could take a scenic flight over the Skeleton Coast or take a boat tour to the dolphins and seals. The organization and payment can be handled on site, your tour guide will be happy to assist you. It is also interesting to look at the city or to obtain information in the museum about the history of the former German South - West Africa. F (p)

Day 7: In the course of the morning we arrive at the Spitzkoppe (Mountain), also called the "Matterhorn of Namibia". A one-hour walk takes us to a lovely mountain valley, the "Bushman Paradise", a rock overhang with numerous petroglyphs. We then go to the Brand Mountain and stay in house tents with en-suite bathroom in a beautiful location. Here you can take a nice walk and there are good chances to encounter the rare desert elephants. F / M (T) (280 km)

Day 8: Today we drive further north in Damaraland. We visit the rock paintings at Twyfelfontein and see Africa's largest collection of rock mengravings with over 2000 illustrations (UNESCO World Heritage). In a two hour hike we will see many of these prehistoric works of art. In the same area there is also the "Burnt Mountain" and the "organ pipes" (basalt columns). We visit a traditional Damara Village and they will show us how tanned skins and spear tips are produced which plants are edible and how fire is lit with fire sticks. The visit ends with dancing and singing. Now we only have a short piece of road to our tented camp at the Aba-Huab. Here are large safari tents ready to offer a real Hemingway ambience with beds, tables, chairs and en-suite bathroom. F / M (T) (220 km)

Day 9: The landscape remains today very mountainous and varied, red mesas are predominant. Again and again we pass the settlements of Damara and get them an impression of living conditions in these tribal areas. In a one hour walk we find numerous fossilized tree fragments (Petrified Forest). In the early afternoon we reach our lodge near Kamanjab and can  tame and wild cheetahs here admired. Day 10: Visit to the Etosha National Park. Today we head into the Western restricted area, which can only be visited with a special permit. So you know the part of Etosha, which is denied the vast majority of Namibia visitors. Exits at Okaukuejo the park and go for a two nights on a beautiful lodge. F / M (L) (330 km)

Note: Since March 2014, the western part of the Etosha National Park is open to the public.

Day 11: In the morning we start to another trip to the Etosha National park. Morning and afternoon we observe the African wildlife in game drives. We spend the midday hours in Okaukuejo. There is also a large water spot where the animals can be observed undisturbed. At sunset we leave the park and return to our lodge. F (L) (150 km)

Day 12: Otjiwarongo Outjo and we soon reach the Water Mountain Plateau. This Table Mountain is about 1900 m high and very impressive. Here is a beautiful walk on marked trails or a game drive would be possible. Overnight we stay at a very nice lodge. F / A (L) (340 km)

Day 13: In the morning we can take a walk in Okahandja we visit a timber market where local craftsmen wood carvings offer and are then in the early afternoon in Windhoek. A return flight in the evening would be possible. F (320 miles)

This route is not fixed rigidly, but we should respect the pre-booked accommodation. We will still try to make your holiday spontaneous and flexible. Deviations from this itinerary we reserve the right.
